They would treat their employees with dignity.

Patricia watched the announcement from her apartment.
Andrew sat beside her.
"They're going to succeed, aren't they?"
"Yes, Andrew."
"They're going to be everything we should have been."
Patricia dropped her head.
"I ruined everything."
"I ruined our family."
"I ruined your future."
"It's too late to fix it."
She looked up.
"Is it?"
"What if we apologize?"
"What if we admit we were wrong?"
Andrew shook his head.
"She won't forgive us, Mother."
"Would you?"
Patricia sighed.
