CHAPTER 15: THE WEDDING

The wedding was held in a beautiful garden, surrounded by flowers and the people they loved.

Margaret was there, smiling from her wheelchair.

Grace's mother was there, crying tears of joy.

And Dominic's men were there, standing guard, protecting their boss and his new bride.

Grace wore a white dress, simple and elegant.

Dominic wore a black suit, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Do you, Grace, take Dominic to be your husband?"

"I do."

"Do you, Dominic, take Grace to be your wife?"

"I do."

They exchanged vows.

"I promise to love you, honor you, and protect you, for the rest of my life," Dominic said.

"I promise to stand by you, support you, and love you, no matter what," Grace said.

They kissed.

The crowd applauded.

And Grace knew that she had finally found where she belonged.

She had gone from being invisible to being the center of someone's world.

She had gone from being afraid to being fearless.

And she had gone from being alone to being loved.

She looked at Dominic.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you too," he replied.

"Forever."

"Forever."

And they lived happily ever after.
