Chapter 16 - The Boy in Zurich

Noah asked what would happen to him if we dissolved the trusts.
I told him the truth.
"You become a boy again instead of a beneficiary."
Little Emma looked up.
"And I become a girl again?"
Clara kissed her forehead.
"You never stopped being one."
Luca looked at both children and nodded.
Older Emma gave her consent over Mateo's radio from the maintenance shaft.
Victor hesitated longer than anyone.
He had spent his entire life measuring survival in ownership.
Finally, he looked at Marcus.
"We lose Vale."
Marcus shook his head.
"We lose ownership.
Maybe we finally keep the family."
Victor laughed quietly.
Then he agreed.
I activated the Twin Wolf Clause.
The ledger asked for final confirmation.
I pressed CONFIRM.
Across the screen appeared the words TRUST DISSOLUTION INITIATED.
Within seconds, controlling family shares began transferring to independent foundations with governance restrictions no Vale or Mercer descendant could override alone.
Adrian screamed.
Victoria stared through the observation glass as her plan vanished.
The chamber doors unlocked automatically because no succession asset remained to protect.
Mateo and older Emma returned from the shaft.
Victoria fled.
I told Mateo not to chase her.
The empire she wanted no longer existed in a form she could seize.
Adrian did not receive the same mercy.

He was disarmed and held until Swiss authorities arrived.
