Chapter 12 - EVAN

Vivian admitted working at Bell House.

She also admitted grabbing a nine-year-old boy named Evan and locking him in a laundry room during an outburst.

Bell made the complaint disappear.

Then Evan disappeared too.

Vivian claimed he ran away.

That night, a thin thirty-one-year-old man appeared behind my mansion.

“My name is Evan.”

He had not run away.

Bell had secretly moved him to another family after Evan reported Vivian.

The new family was safe.

The relocation was illegal.

Peter had spent years believing his nephew Evan had vanished.

Evan had spent years believing Peter abandoned him.

Bell had separated them because he thought it was best.

Then Evan saw the photograph of fake Curtis.

“That man is Aaron Pike.”

A private investigator.

Someone Peter once hired.

We searched the mansion again and found an underground room behind the hidden medical room.

On the wall were dozens of children’s names.

EVAN MERCER was circled repeatedly.

Under it, written recently:

HE WAS NEVER THE ONE WE NEEDED.

May you like

CLAIRE WAS.
