Helena reached seventy.
Still sharp.
Still expensive.
Still drove herself.
One Sunday she arrived in a modest electric SUV.
Leo, twenty-nine, stared.
“Where’s the Bentley?”
She pointed at him.
“You ruined luxury cars for me.”
He laughed.
Then hugged her.
That was the first hug I saw him initiate.
