Chapter 15 - HELENA WITHOUT A STAFF
Helena lost the Estate Services chair permanently after trustee review.
She was not barred from every family function.
She was not stripped of her surname.
She did not lose inheritance.
She stopped having staff assigned to her personally through the estate for two years except necessary security at official events.
She hired her own housekeeper privately.
At lawful wages.
Contract.
Payroll.
Apparently civilization.
Then she complained to me:
“Do you know how much staffing costs?”
I stared.
She understood.
