Chapter 20 - The Forever War
Ivy stood alone on the battlefield.
The war was not over.
It would never be over.
But she had found peace in the middle of the chaos.
"Ivy," Damian's voice came from behind her.
She turned to face him.
"I have a new mission," she said. "A new purpose."
"What is it?" Damian asked.
"I'm going to help others like me," she said. "People who are struggling to control their power. I'm going to show them that it's possible to overcome."
Damian smiled.
"That's a good goal," he said.
"Thank you," Ivy said. "It's time to start a new chapter."
She looked out at the horizon.
The future was uncertain.
But Ivy was ready.
She would survive.
She would thrive.
She would overcome.
