Chapter 12 - The Second Warning

Damian found Ivy in the library the next morning, surrounded by ancient texts on Lycan history.
"What are you looking for?" he asked.
"A way to separate myself from the curse," she replied. "There has to be something in here. A ritual, a spell, anything."
"Ivy, I've been reading these texts for centuries. There's no cure for the ancient curse."
"There's always a way," she insisted. "The original Lycans bound the wolf inside it. They knew how to contain her."
"They bound her using powers that no longer exist," Damian said gently. "Powers that were lost when the original Lycans were destroyed."
"Then I'll find a different way."
"The wolf inside you isn't just going to surrender," Damian warned. "She's been trapped for thousands of years. She's not going to give up her freedom easily."
Ivy slammed the book shut, her golden eyes flashing with uncontrolled power.
"Then I'll make her surrender."
Before Damian could respond, a searing pain shot through Ivy's skull.
She collapsed, clutching her head as visions flooded her consciousness.
A woman with silver hair and golden eyes, laughing as she destroyed a city.
Bodies everywhere.
Blood flowing through the streets like water.
And at the center of it all, the wolf—ancient, powerful, and utterly insane.
"Ivy!" Damian's voice seemed to come from very far away. "Ivy, can you hear me?"
She opened her eyes to find him kneeling beside her, his face pale with worry.
"I saw her," Ivy breathed. "I saw what she wants to do."
"What did you see?"
"Destruction," Ivy replied. "The wolf wants to destroy everything. That's why the original Lycans trapped her. She's not just insane—she's an extinction-level event waiting to happen."
Damian's expression hardened. "Then we need to find a way to stop her before she takes over completely."
"There's only one way," Ivy said. "I have to bind her again. The same way the original Lycans did."
"But we don't know how."
"I know," Ivy replied. "She showed me. The ritual requires three things—the blood of a Lycan, the heart of a wolf, and the soul of a sacrifice."

Damian's face went white. "That's impossible. You're the only Lycan left."
"Not anymore," Ivy said. "The curse has made me something else. Something more. And I have a feeling I'm not the only one who's been waiting for this moment."
