Chapter 18 - LEO RETURNS TO THE GARAGE

Leo was six when he asked to see the garage again.

He had avoided it.

We walked together.

No ceremony.

The Bentley was gone.

Sold at the end of fleet cycle.

Replacement:

A dark sedan.

Ordinary by Bellucci standards.

Leo pointed.

“Helena car?”

“No.”

“Your car?”

“Estate car.”

“Who owns?”

“The company.”

He frowned.

“Car has company?”

“Yes.”

Children discovering corporate structure is less cinematic than family legend.

Then he saw a detailing bucket.

Stopped.

I waited.

He touched the sponge.

“Can wash?”

“If you want.”

He washed one small section of my car.

For thirty seconds.

Then got bored.

May you like

Ran away.

Perfect.
