I met my father.

I sat down with him in his living room.
"Sophie," he said. "I'm sorry."

"I know. But I understand why you didn't."
He looked at me.
"Are you okay?"

"Are you going to leave?"
"Leave? No. You're my father. And I'm not going anywhere."
He hugged me.
