PART 4: JUSTICE

The internal investigation lasted three weeks.

Independent forensic analysts confirmed that every major component of the award-winning campaign had originated from my work.

Multiple employees admitted they had assumed I was the real architect of the project all along.

Sarah's employment was terminated for professional misconduct, falsification of internal work attribution, and violations of the company's code of ethics.

The CEO personally called me into his office.

"I owe you an apology."

He stood up.

"I promoted the wrong person."

He slid a new contract across the desk.

Director of Marketing.

This time, there was no applause.

No dramatic announcement.

No celebration.

Only the quiet acknowledgment of the truth.

As I signed the contract, my father called.

"I kept my promise."

"You didn't get me the job," I replied.

"No."

"You simply made sure they couldn't steal it."

He smiled softly before hanging up.

Looking around my new office, I realized something important.

Revenge fades.

Power fades.

Even titles fade.

But integrity has a way of surviving every betrayal.

Some people climb the corporate ladder by standing on someone else's shoulders.

Eventually...

The truth pulls them back down.
