Grace, now considerably stronger following months of dedicated therapeutic work, testified on the trial's third day, walking the court through the entire terrifying arc of her eleven-day confinement with careful, measured detail.
"I want the jury to understand," she said during her testimony, "that this wasn't a single moment of poor judgment. This was calculated, sustained, and deliberately cruel — false pretenses luring me into that room, construction workers hired specifically to install bars over windows, medication administered without my knowledge or consent, and psychological manipulation designed specifically to make me believe my own husband had abandoned interest in our marriage and unborn child."
