CHAPTER 2
Her brother’s face went pale.
“What is that”
Elena answered without hesitation.
“The part where everything you built stops belonging to you.”
The Whitmore Global servers went dark in under sixty seconds.
Then came the rebuild.
But not under their control.
Under hers.
Her father stared at the central screen.
“This is illegal.”
Elena replied immediately.
“No.”
“This is what you signed.”
Her brother shouted.
“We never agreed to this”
Elena looked at him.
“You agreed when you voted me out.”
A pause.
“You activated the clause.”
Her mother stepped back slowly.
“What clause”
Elena turned slightly toward the boardroom.
“The clause that removes any executive who tries to remove the original structuring entity.”
Silence.
One executive whispered.
“What does that mean”
Elena answered.
“It means I am not an employee.”
“I am the foundation.”
Her father’s voice dropped.
“You built this behind us”
Elena shook her head.
“I built it because of you.”
A new alert appeared.
“Asset redistribution in progress.”
Global accounts began shifting.
Not collapsing.
Moving.
Her brother rushed to the terminal.
“I will stop this”
He typed fast.
Access denied.
Try again.
Access denied.
Try again.
Elena watched quietly.
“You can try as many times as you want.”
“It will not recognize you anymore.”
Her brother turned.
“You erased us”
Elena nodded.
“No.”
“I just stopped recognizing you.”
A notification appeared on the main screen.
“Board membership revoked.”
One by one, names disappeared.
Her father stepped forward.
“You cannot take everything”
Elena looked at him.
“I already did.”
A pause.
“You just did not notice when you signed it away.”
Then her phone rang.
Unknown number.
She answered.
A voice spoke.
“You are accelerating faster than expected.”
Elena narrowed her eyes.
“Who are you”
A short silence.
Then:
“The one who approved your architecture.”
The call ended.
And the entire system displayed one final message.
“SECOND AUTHORITY LAYER DETECTED.”
Elena’s expression changed slightly.
May you like
For the first time.
This was not her system alone anymore.
