The words appeared on Elena Whitmore’s screen before she even finished her coffee.
Then came the second message.
“You are no longer authorized to enter Whitmore Global systems.”
A pause.
Then a third.
“Security breach attempt detected. Identity flagged.”
Elena stared at the screen.
Not shocked.
Just observant.
Someone had moved faster than expected.
Behind her, her assistant spoke nervously.
“Ma’am… the board just held an emergency vote.”
Elena did not turn around.

“They removed you. Completely. From every system, every account, every internal record.”

Elena set the coffee down.
