PART 2: THE EMPIRE THAT TURNED AGAINST HIM

Daniel was in the middle of giving a speech when his phone started vibrating violently in his pocket.

He ignored it at first — smiling that charming smile that once fooled me too. But the buzzing wouldn’t stop. Then every board member’s phone lit up at the same table.

His expression faltered when he saw the notification.

Ownership Transfer Complete. New Majority Shareholder: Claire Langford.

He laughed nervously into the microphone. “Looks like the market’s having fun tonight, folks.”

But backstage, chaos had already begun.

His assistant ran up to him, pale. “Sir… all your accounts are frozen. The company shares… they’re no longer under your control.”

Daniel’s face hardened. “That’s impossible. I own 51%.”

“Not anymore,” the assistant whispered. “Your wife just executed a clause in the original investment agreement. The one you signed when her father funded the startup.”

Daniel stormed toward the exit, dialing his lawyer furiously. The elevator wouldn’t respond to his fingerprint. Security stepped in front of him — men he had known for years.
