CHAPTER 7 — Justice Leaves a Legacy

Five years later...
Little Grace ran barefoot across the same polished stone floor where her mother had once collapsed in terror.
Only this time...
The estate was filled with music.
Families gathered for the annual charity gala supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
Grace stopped beside the bronze plaque.
"Mama..."
"Were you ever scared here?"
Elena smiled gently.
"Yes."
"Very."
Grace reached for her mother's hand.
"But you're not scared anymore."
Elena looked across the courtyard.
Adrian was laughing with employees who had become family.
Children played beneath the old olive trees.
The ocean breeze carried nothing but peace.
She squeezed Grace's tiny hand.
"No."
"Because courage isn't the absence of fear."
"It's choosing to stand after someone tries to break you."
May you like
As the sun disappeared beyond the horizon, the estate no longer stood as a monument to wealth.
It stood as proof that truth outlives deception, compassion defeats cruelty, and justice, though sometimes delayed, always leaves the strongest legacy of all.
