CHAPTER 6 — The Estate Opens Its Gates

One year later...

The mansion looked completely different.

Adrian converted part of the property into a foundation for abused women and children.

The luxurious guest wing became emergency housing.

The ballroom became a legal aid center.

The servants' quarters became classrooms for job training.

Every room that once represented fear now represented hope.

At the entrance stood a bronze plaque.

It read:

"Power is measured by the lives you protect, not the people you control."

Visitors often asked who had inspired the foundation.

Adrian would quietly point toward Elena.

She always shook her head.

May you like

"It wasn't me."

"It was everyone who finally chose not to stay silent."
