My Boss’s Wife Accused Me Of Being His Mistress, Slapped Me And Tore My Dress At The Company Gala… Not Knowing I Was The One Who Owned The Entire Company

Chapter 1: The Gala Nightmare

The elegant ballroom went dead silent the moment the slap landed.

Olivia staggered back, her face burning. Before she could steady herself, Mrs. Harrington — the boss’s wife — grabbed the strap of Olivia’s elegant black evening gown and ripped it violently, exposing her shoulder and part of her lace bra.

“You disgusting homewrecker!” Mrs. Harrington screamed, her voice echoing through the microphone that was still on. “How dare you seduce my husband at his own company gala? Everyone, look at this shameless woman!”

Hundreds of employees and partners stared in shock. Phones came out instantly.

Olivia tried to cover herself, voice trembling but clear. “Mrs. Harrington, this is a misunderstanding. I never—”

“Misunderstanding?” Mrs. Harrington laughed bitterly. “I’ve seen the messages! You’ve been sleeping with my husband for months!”

Mr. Harrington, the CEO, stood frozen a few feet away, pale and sweating. He didn’t defend Olivia. Instead, he looked away.

The crowd began whispering loudly. “Homewrecker…”, “How unprofessional…”, “Poor Mrs. Harrington.”

Olivia’s eyes stung with tears, but she held her head high. “I swear on everything, I have never touched your husband.”

Mrs. Harrington raised her hand to slap her again when a deep, authoritative voice rang out from the entrance.

“Touch her one more time and I will end your husband’s career tonight.”

A tall, strikingly handsome man in a perfectly tailored midnight blue suit walked straight toward Olivia. He removed his jacket and draped it over her shoulders with gentle care, shielding her from the prying eyes.

He turned to Mrs. Harrington, his expression ice-cold.

“You just publicly assaulted and defamed the rightful owner of Harrington Global.”

Mrs. Harrington froze. “What did you just say?”

The man smiled without warmth. “Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Julian Cross. And Olivia Bennett isn’t just an employee… she’s the majority shareholder who has been quietly running this company for the past three years while your husband took all the credit.”
