Chapter 2: Bloodline Secrets
Marcus didn’t flinch. “You really think that toy scares me, little girl?”
Elena’s hands were shaking. Victor tried to call for backup, but Marcus had already cut the power and jammed the signals.
While negotiating, the dark truth slowly came out: Victor had married Sophia only to secure the fortune her mother left her. Elena had been helping him keep Sophia prisoner for months. They even planned to take the baby after birth and make Sophia “disappear.”
“You monsters…” Marcus whispered.
He disarmed Elena in less than two seconds and knocked Victor unconscious with one brutal punch.
After rescuing Sophia from the basement, Marcus held his daughter tightly as she sobbed in his arms.
“Dad… I was so scared,” she cried.
