Chapter 2: The Hidden Truth

Ji-hoon’s face turned ghostly white. “Father… this old woman crashed into me!”

The chairman looked at the injured woman on the ground, then at the young cleaner still holding his son’s wrist.

“That ‘old woman’ is your grandmother,” Chairman Kang said coldly. “My mother.”

The entire street went silent.

Ji-hoon froze. “What…?”

The young cleaner finally released his arm. She helped the old grandmother up gently, ignoring Ji-hoon completely.

Chairman Kang looked at her with deep gratitude. “Thank you, young lady. What is your name?”

She bowed slightly. “My name is Han Soo-ah. I’m just a street cleaner here. I’m glad your mother is okay.”

Before anyone could say more, Soo-ah picked up her cleaning tools and quietly disappeared into the crowd.

Ji-hoon stood there, stunned and humiliated in front of hundreds of people.

That night, Chairman Kang sat across from his son in their luxurious penthouse.

“Find her,” the old man ordered. “That girl protected your grandmother when you tried to slap her. I want to thank her properly.”

Cliffhanger: Three days later, Ji-hoon finally tracked Soo-ah down to a small orphanage on the outskirts of the city. When he walked in, he froze.

Soo-ah was reading a bedtime story to a group of children… including a little girl who looked exactly like a younger version of her.

But what shocked him more was the framed photo on the wall — a picture of Soo-ah receiving an award… from his own father, five years ago.
