CHAPTER 2: “SYSTEM ACCESS GRANTED”
Thirty minutes later.
The principal’s office went silent.
Every screen in the building turned black.
Then white text appeared.
SYSTEM OVERRIDE INITIATED
The principal frowned.
“What is this? A prank?”
A technician rushed in.
“No sir… this is coming from inside the academic control network.”
The student council president laughed nervously.
“So fix it.”
The technician shook his head.
“I can’t.”
A pause.
“It’s not external hacking.”
The principal stepped forward.
“What do you mean”
The technician swallowed.
“It’s authenticated.”
Silence.
Then another message appeared.
ACADEMIC AUTHORITY TRANSFER DETECTED
Every classroom monitor flickered.
Attendance systems froze.
Grades disappeared.
Security gates unlocked themselves.
The school was no longer under control.
The principal’s phone rang.
He answered immediately.
A panicked voice from district headquarters shouted:
“Sir, the entire education network is locked down.”
The principal froze.
“What”
The voice continued.
“All schools in the region are reporting the same access shift.”
A pause.
“And the new administrator is listed as…”
The voice stopped.
Then whispered:
“Jason Miller.”
Inside the hallway, students started panicking.
“What’s going on”
“Why did the doors open”
Then the loudspeaker activated.
But it was not the principal’s voice.
It was calm.
Controlled.
Familiar.
“This system is no longer under your administration.”
Silence.
Jason Miller stood alone in the empty hallway.
Holding his backpack.
May you like
And spoke into the air.
“You should have just let me walk.”
