Chapter 4: Six Years Later — The Man They Released Too Late
The prison gates opened at 6:00 AM.
No speech.
No apology.
Just metal unlocking.
Freedom.
Or something that looked like it.
Outside…
A black car waited.
Inside was the same man from Cell Block C.
He nodded.
“Time’s up.”
I got in.
We drove in silence for an hour.
Then he said:
“You’re not a prisoner anymore.”
I looked at him.
“Then what am I?”
He replied:
“A shareholder.”
I frowned.
“What?”
He handed me a tablet.
The screen lit up.
And I saw it.
My company.
But not mine.
Elena’s empire.
And next to it…
A hidden legal structure I had never seen.
My name.
Still attached.
But not as an employee.
As a controlling beneficiary.
My breath slowed.
“What is this?”
He answered:
“She built everything on your frozen assets.”
A pause.
“She forgot they were never fully transferable.”
I stared at the screen.
And slowly asked:
“So I still own it?”
He smiled.
“No.”
May you like
A pause.
“You own everything she built with it.”
