PART 2: THE ACCOUNTS THAT FROZE

Ryan’s face went white. “Mr. Langford… this is a misunderstanding—”

My father didn’t raise his voice. He simply took out his phone and made one call.

“Freeze everything.”

Within minutes, Ryan’s phone started blowing up. Bank alerts. Investment apps. Even the joint account he thought he controlled.

“All transfers from the Langford Trust have been reversed,” the bank officer said over speakerphone. “Mr. Ryan Hargrove no longer has access.”

Linda tried to scream again but my father silenced her with one look.

“You pushed my pregnant daughter down the stairs,” he said, “and your son filmed it. The video is already with my lawyers… and the police.”

Ryan dropped to his knees beside me, voice shaking.
“Baby, please. I was stupid. We can fix this—”

I looked at him, pain still radiating through my body, but my voice was steady.

“You stopped being able to fix anything the moment you hit record.”
