Chapter 3: Justice Served Cold

Harlan didn’t back down. He called in every favor, exposed the entire corrupt network protecting Ryan and Margaret. The trial was brutal.

In court, Emily stood tall despite her scars. “They didn’t just hurt me. They tried to break me… and my baby.”

Ryan shouted, “She’s lying!”

Margaret screamed as the verdict came down: 18 years for Ryan, 14 for Margaret, plus charges against their powerful backer who was arrested the same day.

Months later, Emily gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She named him James.

“Dad,” she said softly in the hospital room, cradling her son, “I thought I was alone. But you came for me.”

Harlan kissed her forehead, eyes misty. “No one touches my family and walks free. Ever.”

Emily rebuilt her life. She started her own design company, raised James with love and strength, and never looked back. The monsters who tried to destroy her were now rotting in prison, while she and her son lived free under her father’s proud watch.
