CHAPTER 1: The Letter in the Wall
When Sarah Mitchell bought an old farmhouse in rural Ohio, she expected creaky floors, peeling paint, and endless repairs.
She did not expect to find a secret hidden inside the walls.
One afternoon, while renovating the master bedroom, a section of drywall collapsed.
Behind it was a small metal box.
Inside the box lay a yellowed envelope covered in dust.
On the front were four handwritten words:
"For My Daughter, Sarah."
Sarah froze.
Her father had died fifteen years ago.
How could he have left a letter inside a house he had never owned?
Her hands trembled as she opened it.
Inside was a short message.
"Sarah,
If you are reading this, it means you've found the house.
I never stopped looking for you.
The truth about your mother is not what you think.
Go to the train station in Millfield on October 14th at exactly 3:00 PM.
Someone will be waiting.
Love,
Dad"

Sarah read the letter three times.
Her father had always told her that her mother died shortly after giving birth.
There was no mystery.
No unanswered questions.
Yet somehow, the letter suggested otherwise.
Three days later, on October 14th, Sarah arrived at the abandoned train station.
At exactly 3:00 PM, an elderly woman stepped off a bus.
The moment she saw Sarah, tears filled her eyes.

Then she whispered six words that changed everything.
"I've waited thirty years for this."
