Ethan Cole stood alone at the center of a glass circle while twenty executives watched him like he was a broken tool being discarded.
The CEO did not even look up from the tablet.
“No skills worth retaining. No field success. No strategic value.”
A few executives nodded.
One of them chuckled.
“He barely passed onboarding.”
Another leaned forward.
“Honestly, I don’t even know why he was hired.”
Ethan did not speak.
He just listened.
That was what he always did.
The HR director slid a document across the table.
