PART 2 — THE FOUNDER WHO HAD BEEN WATCHING ALL ALONG
The lobby stayed silent.
No one moved.
The security guard stood frozen.
His radio suddenly crackled.
"Code One."
"The Founder has entered the building."
Every security officer in the lobby snapped to attention.
The guard swallowed.
"N-no..."
"This can't be happening."
The woman stepped into the private elevator.
The doors almost closed.
Then she pressed OPEN.
One last chance.
"Come here," she said.
The guard stumbled forward.
"I... I'm sorry."
"I didn't know."
She looked at him.
"What didn't you know?"
"That you owned the company."
She slowly shook her head.
"Exactly."
She stepped closer.
"If you had believed I was just another visitor..."
"...would you have treated me any differently?"
He couldn't answer.
Because everyone already knew the truth.
The elevator doors closed.
Thirty seconds later...
The executive boardroom.
Twelve directors stood the moment she entered.
No one sat.
No one spoke.
"Good morning, Ms. Hayes."
She nodded once.
"Let's begin."
Meanwhile...
Human Resources escorted the security guard upstairs.
His hands wouldn't stop shaking.
"I made one mistake."
The HR director looked at him.
"No."
"You made the same mistake dozens of times."
She opened a file.
"Last month..."
"You mocked a delivery driver."
"Two weeks later..."
"You refused entry to a wheelchair user until an executive intervened."
She turned another page.
"And yesterday..."
"You laughed at an intern because his suit came from a thrift store."
The guard stared at the reports.
"Who filed all these complaints?"
The HR director smiled sadly.
"The Founder."
His face went blank.
"She knew?"
"She reads every unresolved complaint herself."
Back in the boardroom...
The Founder placed a single black folder on the table.
"I didn't come back because of today's board meeting."
"I came back because someone has been stealing from this company."
Every executive looked at one another.
She calmly slid financial reports across the table.
"Eighty-seven million dollars."
"Over four years."
"The person responsible..."
She paused.
"...is sitting in this room."
The directors stopped breathing.
Then she looked toward the door.
"Please come in."
Two federal agents walked inside.
One executive immediately stood.
"I want my lawyer."
The Founder smiled.
May you like
"I already expected that."
