Elara swung a knife at my face. I ducked, grabbing a heavy vase from the table and swinging it at her.
It hit her arm with a sickening crack.
She screamed.
Noah was there in an instant, pinning her to the ground.
"You're going to prison," he said.
She laughed. A broken sound. "I have money. I'll get out. And when I do, I'll find him. I'll take him back."
"You'll never touch him again," I said.
Security arrived. Elara was dragged away.
