Chapter 2: The Real Power

The rich guy’s face went pale as he recognized the newcomer.

“Mr. Kensington… I-I didn’t know…”

The CEO, Liam Kensington, ignored him completely and knelt beside his grandfather. “Grandpa, are you okay? I told you not to ride your old bike anymore.”

The old man smiled weakly. “I’m fine, thanks to this young lady. She stopped him from hitting me.”

Liam looked up at the cleaning woman, who was still holding the arrogant driver in place. Their eyes met. For a second, something passed between them.

“You can let him go now,” Liam said gently. “The police are already on their way.”

She released the rich guy, who scrambled away, muttering curses. Without saying another word, the young woman picked up her cleaning supplies and quietly slipped away through the growing crowd.

Liam stood up, watching her disappear around the corner.

“Grandpa… who was she?”

The old man chuckled despite the pain. “A brave girl with a good heart. Find her for me, Liam. I want to thank her properly.”

Later that evening, Liam sat in his office, unable to stop thinking about her calm strength and beautiful face. He called his assistant.

“Find the cleaning lady who helped my grandfather today. I need her name and where she works.”

Two days later, Liam finally found her working at a small office building. When he approached, she looked up and smiled politely. “You’re the grandson, right? Is your grandfather okay?”

But before he could answer, she added softly, “Please don’t offer me money. I don’t want anything.”
